In the Fall of 1981 a group of neighbors,
styling themselves as "Raiders of the
Lost Parkway," took on the task of
cleaning up the weeds and debris from
the Forest Park Parkway between
DeBaliviere and Skinker.
This logo was created for the event. The result was a great improvement in the appearance of the area, but some of the volunteers paid a high price when they were afflicted by the poison oak that had infested the area.
